The University has held a meeting of Student scientific societies from Moscow and Moscow region under the auspices of the Council of rectors and with the support of the Commission on science and innovations of the Youth Council of the Ministry of Education and Science.

On the 16th of December MEPhI opened its doors to the leaders of Student scientific societies from 20 universities. The meeting presented a support system for students' science in the Russian Federation. Participants made suggestions how to improve and develop it, and entered into an active dialogue with experts – representatives of the Russian club of young researchers and the Russian Association of students on the development of science and education.

Following the meeting it was decided to organize common communication platform of the heads of Student scientific societies in social networks. Also it was decided to conduct such meetings on a regular basis in MEPhI. The next meeting will present the activity plan for 2016, as well as major projects of students' scientific societies.
