MEPhI presents large exposition of scientific research at annual national exhibition “VUZPROMEXPO-2015”

On the 2nd of December Moscow has hosted the annual national exhibition-forum “VUZPROMEXPO”. The largest event to exchange experience and demonstrate the latest achievements united representatives of state corporations, industrial companies, innovative companies and, of course, higher educational institutions.

The Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Dmitry Livanov took part in the opening ceremony. He noted that today universities have become centers of innovative communications. “It is very important for us that modern university is not only a center of education and fundamental research, but it is also the center, which develop new technologies and innovations. And importance of this innovation part is constantly increasing in our leading universities”.

National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI” is a constant and perhaps one of the most active participants of the exhibition “VUZPROMEXPO”. Each time the exposure of the University attracts particular attention of visitors.

This year MEPhI provided a diverse exposure. 24 projects, which have no analogues abroad, were on the official stand of the University, and also on the joint stand of the Project 5-100. And as expected MEPhI’s stand had serious attention. In particular visitors marked the know-how of MEPhI – “Contactless lie detector” (or “3D” face scanning”). This device allows you to accurately recognize the personality. Wig and glasses can’t confuse it. It determines the truthfulness of responses by analysis of the recorded conversation with the person. Russian banks, especially credit departments, have already showed their interest in the development.

The exhibition continues its work. Besides communication with visitors the delegation of MEPhI will take an active part in a number of round tables and workshops. One of the most important events is the presentation of ongoing research projects at the Scientific conference on results of applied scientific research and experimental development in the framework of the Federal target program “Research on priority directions of development of scientific-technological complex of Russia for 2014-2020”.
