On the 12th of November MEPhI has finished work of the international scientifically-practical conference “Threats and risks for economies of BRICS countries”. Within three days of fruitful work experts on financial supervision, teachers and students of universities from BRICS countries exchanged views, shared their experience, communicated and established useful contacts.

At special sessions, plenary meetings and round tables participants discussed security issues of business and government institutions in conditions of instability of the global financial system, problems in mechanisms of legal protection of national security, and proposed format of future international economic and financial regulators.

The International scientific-practical conference was actively attended by students and postgraduates of higher educational institutions of BRICS member states. They discussed one of the main issues stated in the conference program – role of the Association in ensuring regional security in the conditions of international tension. During parallel sessions young people presented reports, where they offered their own vision of solving this issue.

The conference also held a Student sport spartakiad of friendship – BRICS countries fought for victory in competitions in street-ball, table tennis, darts, arm wrestling and kettlebell lifting.

On the final day, authors of the best student reports in a solemn ceremony were awarded diplomas, and all participants – certificates and gifts. Honorary awards were given to the winners of the student games for active participation in the sports festival.

The conference participants expressed gratitude to the organizers of the event and MEPhI management for the opportunity to discuss critical issues in the field of combating economic and financial crime, noted importance of strengthening dialogue and cooperation in the field of ensuring international economic security and expressed hope that that significant event would be held on an ongoing basis.

By results of three days’ work participants adopted the Final Declaration of the International scientific-practical conference “Threats and risks for economies of BRICS countries”.
