The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree of the 28th of October, 2015 № 2180-R “On awarding government prizes in science and technology for 2015”. 125 candidates from 18 federal subjects became prize winners.

According to the document, the title of “Prize winner of Russian Federation Government in science and technology” was given to the staff of the National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI”: Associate Professor, Candidate of Technical Sciences Minin Sergey Ivanovich and the Head of Department, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Trofimov Adolf Ivanovich for the development of modern welding technologies and equipment and its application in the production of structures of different application.
