On the 4th of November students, faculty and cadets of the MEPhI Military Department have taken part in the procession devoted to the National Unity Day on Tverskaya street in the column of the Moscow Student Center.

In honor of the holiday the capital became the venue of an unprecedented event – according to the Russian news agency TASS it was attended by about 85 000 inhabitants and guests of the capital, including more than 2,000 students. That day thousands of people got out on the streets throughout Russia in a sign of unity of the multinational country.

MEPhI delegation was headed by the Deputy Chairman of the MEPhI Primary labor union organization, Professor V.A. Makedonskaya.

In connection with the tragic accident in Egypt, the procession began with a minute of silence in memory of the victims.
