At the invitation of the Ministry of Education and Science MEPhI has taken part in the largest Russian forum “Open innovations”. Young scientists of the Cyber Security Center and the Engineering Science center presented their unique developments on the stand of the Ministry: the system of cyber defense of any automation objects “SHIELD”, multifunctional unmanned vehicles, an endoscopic complex “Lily”, a system of cyber security of vehicles “AutoVizor”.
During five days of the exhibition, young scientists-developers demonstrated achievements of Russian science, talked about novelty and competitive advantage of innovations. During the forum more than 10,000 people managed to get acquainted with the inventions of the University. Among them there were high-ranking guests, namely: the Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Dmitry Livanov, the Russian President aide Andrei Fursenko, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Veniamin Kaganov, the Director of the Department of Science and Technology Sergey Salikhov.
The exposition of the Ministry of Education and Science attracted foreign experts as well. During business visits the exposition was visited by the Minister of Science and Technology of Thailand Pichet Durongkaveroj, the Minister of Education of the Azerbaijan Republic Mikayil Jabbarov, the delegations of Brazil and South Africa. Forum participants and representatives of leading technology companies-exhibitors such as RUSNANO, Rosatom, the Russian venture company, SKOLKOVO Foundation, Intel, IBM and others praised quality and importance of innovative developments of scientific teams of universities presented at the exhibition.
The business platform of the exhibition was filled with presentations of scientific and technical developments and debates. Key topics were state policy in the sphere of science and innovation development, international scientific cooperation, youth science, education.
In the framework of the Forum employees of the Cyber Security Center MEPhI visited Plenary meetings, held negotiations with representatives of business accelerators and large companies, actively participated in open discussions and seminars dedicated to the advancement of higher education, new approaches to the commercialization of research results and others.
The forum and technology show “Open innovation” 2015 is the largest event in Russia, which explores the future of technology in life of a modern person, the economy and society. The event has been held since 2012 under the auspices of the Russian Government, with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development and with the participation of the government of Moscow and various Russian institutes of development.
Participants of the Forum are major technology companies and young startups, venture capital industry and state institutions of development, visionaries and engineers, suppliers and users of technologies.
A feature of the Forum was the combination of various formats of discussion and demonstration of innovations: plenary sessions, discussions in the halls, interactive round tables, demonstration area of modern art “Science Art” and integrated presentation projects. In total, the Forum held more than 150 events of official, special and youth programs, which were attended by over 700 speakers from 30 countries.
