Where do Russian nuclear physicists appear from? MEPhI discusses largest and most advanced Russian projects in nuclear industry at RIA Novosti

On October 5 RIA Novosti has hosted a media round table on the theme: “Four generations of nuclear reactors: innovation and modern technologies”.

The event discussed major and leading Russian projects in the nuclear industry. Russian experts spoke about nuclear reactors (power, research and industrial), their construction, purpose and application in various fields.

What are advantages of nuclear power? What changes have occurred in the field of safety since the Chernobyl accident? Which new technologies have recently appeared? What is the risk of an accident at the modern reactors?
