On April 28 OJSC VNIIAES” has held a final of a large-scale and impressive project – Tournament of young professionals “Temp-2015”. This year it was a jubilee, 5-th tournament, which received a status of a single channel of selection of graduates, who will have high employment potential at enterprises of nuclear industry. The event was traditionally organized by the State Corporation “Rosatom”, MEPhI and Rosatom Corporate Academy.
The aim of the tournament is to promote activities of the nuclear industry, and attraction and employment of graduate students and young professionals. “Temp” is a competition of teams and ideas, an ability to acquire knowledge and adopt the best practices from industry professionals. For organizations it’s a tool of interaction with students and graduates, selection of the best and work on the company's image as a progressive and attractive employer.
It should be noted that the number of participants has been increasing steadily. If in 2014 there were just over 2,000 applications, this year almost 4,000 young professionals from more than 200 cities of Russia participated in “Temp”. It is important that traditional for Russian nuclear industry event received international status again. Two foreign teams – from Vietnam (students from Obninsk branch of MEPhI) and Hungary – participated in it.
Pleased to note that the final tournament was attended by 17 students of Moscow Engineering Physics Institute. It confirms the high level of training in the University and students’ focus on results. By the way, students from MEPhI and its affiliates are regular participants of the tournament “Temp” and have never left it without awards.
Following the event, winners were determined in five categories. A student of the MEPhI Faculty “Experimental and theoretical physics” Sergei Lagunov won the individual category “Best participant of the tournament”.
The head of Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko congratulated winners of the tournament with a successful performance, and presented them diplomas and prizes. He noted the high professional level of the contestants and relevance of presented projects, and ensured that some of them would soon find its application in enterprises of the SC “Rosatom”.
