From 15 to 18 April Expocentre on Krasnaya Presnya has held the Moscow International Education Fair, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation with the support of the Moscow Government. The exhibition also included rewarding of winners of the All-Russian competition of scientific-technical creativity of youth (HTTM-2015).
The largest youth competition HTTM is held in Moscow since 2001. Its aim is to support talented people doing their first steps in scientific activities and technical creativity. Once again Moscow International Education Fair became an interactive platform for presentations and evaluations of projects, focused on scientific and technical sphere with a view to their further development and promotion that to form innovative economy of the country. This year HTTM-2015 presented 280 original projects – from pure ideas to business developments ready for the implementation.
For many years students from the MEPhI have been taking an active part in this event, presenting their projects, which find further application in practice. In previous years young scientists of the University have repeatedly been the winners of the competition, were awarded certificates and diplomas. This year MEPhI students have submitted six projects, which were prequalified in a Competition of youth innovation projects conducted in the framework of the MEPhI Scientific Session-2015.
The assessment of submitted work was conducted by the Expert Council, composed of scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences, rectors and University professors, professionals working with young people, representatives of scientific and public organizations from Moscow and regions of Russia. They announced results of the competition and determined winners in three nominations: “Best technological project”, “Best research project”, “Best youth investment project”.
The winner in the nomination “Best youth investment project” is a project from the MEPhI “Innovative tools for the diagnostics”. The project, made by students of the Faculty “Cybernetics and Information Security”, represents results of development of specialized tools for solving complex diagnostic tasks, in particular tasks in the field of medicine, forensic science and information technology. In addition one student – Victoria Pupykina – was awarded the prize of the Russian Federation President for support of talented youth.
