On January 25 Faculty of Cybernetics and Information Security has held an Open Day for senior pupils and their parents. On this day future entrants had an opportunity to meet representatives of the University, and visit Departments and laboratories of the Faculty.

By tradition, the meeting started with an address of Acting Dean V.L.Evseev, who introduced history of the faculty and expressed hope that all the event participants will become successful students of MEPhI. The Dean said that today this Faculty is one of the leading educational centers in computer science, programming and information security. Its graduates are in demand at the state level – the SC “Rosatom”, the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Federal Protective Service, the Federal Security Service, the Federal Financial Monitoring Service and others.

In the official part of the meeting managers and specialists of the Faculty told about bachelor's, master's and PhD programs, answered numerous questions and invited everyone to have a tour of departments and laboratories.

An executive secretary of the admission committee V.I.Skrytny made a speech to students and their parents. He informed about the rules of admission to MEPhI and marked dates of the admission campaign 2015:

• April 15 – start of documents receiving from Masters Course entrants

• June 15 – start of documents receiving from entrants to the first year (bachelor and specialist degree)

• June 29 – completion of receiving original documents from entrants with special rights and target admission quota

• July 15 – completion of documents receiving on specialties, which carry out additional admission tests of specialized orientation, or students, entering the University with results of special examinations set by the University

• July 24 – completion of documents receiving from entrants to bachelor and specialist degree, that have only the Unified State Exam results (tuition-free education)

• August 3 – completion of receiving original documents from entrants, who may be enrolled in the first stage (80%)

• August 6 – completion of receiving original documents from entrants, who may be enrolled in the second stage (20%)

• August 7 – completion of documents receiving from entrants to the master's degree program at the expense of the federal budget

• August 15 – completion of documents receiving from entrants to the first year (bachelor and specialist degree, in case of presence of the Unified State Exam results) and entrants to the master's fee paid education

• July 27 – publication of a list of entrants on the official site and on the information board

• July 30 – publication of an order to enroll entrants without entrance examinations, entrants within the admission quota, having special rights, entering the place within the quota of target enrollment (who submit the original standard document) on the official site and on the information board of the admission committee

• August 3 – creation of a list within each competitive list, which includes entrants who have submitted the original standard document, to fill 80 percent of competitive positions on a regular basis

• August 4 – publication of an admission order of entrants, included in first stage lists on the official website and the information board

• August 6 – creation of a list within each competitive list, which includes entrants who have submitted the original standard document, to fill 100 percent of competitive positions on a regular basis

• August 7 – publication of an admission order of entrants, included in second stage lists on the official website and the information board

• Admission to paid education is carried out after completion of entrance tests, including additional.
