On the 25th of June a ceremony of awarding the winners of the All-Russian competition in the sphere of development of student self-governance “Student activity” took place in Moscow.

The contest was organized by the Council of rectors in charge of educational work in higher educational institutions of Russia and the Moscow Student Centre with the support of the Moscow Government and the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation. This year 986 implemented projects and programs were presented. Student associations and structural subdivisions of 487 Russian universities strove for the victory in 18 nominations.

In the opinion of the professional jury, three student projects of the National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI” received the highest rating.

The best project in the sphere of development of students’ scientific and research activity became the MEPhI Engineering Science Centre. The MEPhI Student scientific society won in the nomination “the Best student's scientific society”, and a close-knit team of the MEPhI United Council of students became the winner in the nomination “the Leader and his team”.

All-Russian competition in the sphere of development of student self-governance “Student activity” is a unique and the most important competition of the All-Russian scale, aimed at the development of student self-government bodies and support of social initiatives of student organizations, structural subdivisions of educational work, administration of universities.
