The beginning of a long-awaited summer in the MEPhI ESC was accompanied by expected and interesting event. For the first time MIT student came on training in Engineering Science Center.
Jake Hecla is a 20-year-old student of the 2nd year from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Nuclear Science and Engineering Lab. Internship after the second year of a course of studies is an obligatory practice at MIT. In the Institute laboratory in the USA Jake has been studying contrast radioscopy and has already developed and improved a prototype of a monochromatic x-ray source for phase-contrast imaging.
Jake is for the first time in Russia. He has already met the staff of the Engineering Science Center and received a lot of positive impressions in the first 24 hours in Moscow.
