On May 29 an awarding ceremony of XI All-Russian competition of student publications and young journalists “Crystal arrow” was held in Moscow. The contest is traditionally held under the auspices of the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation and Moscow municipality. This year about 500 Russian universities participated in it.
MEPhI newspaper “Engineer-physicist” received several awards of the professional community. The newspaper became the laureate of the II degree in the nomination “the best Russian student edition” for the concept, design, rubrication, the variety of genres and socially responsible position.
At the same time “Engineer-physicist” was awarded with a special Diploma of the Journalists Union of Russia “for coverage of higher school innovation activities”.
“Crystal arrow” is the most mass and democratic competition of university publications, which is attended by journalists, editors, photographers, creators of Internet sites, founders of printed and electronic student media. The popularity of the contest is explained by fair judging, which has been permanently headed by Yasen N. Zasursky, President of the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
