On March 25 MEPhI was visited by the Director of the UNESCO Office in Moscow Dendev Badarch, who is also the head of the UNESCO Institute for information technologies in education.
Dendev Badarch visited MEPhI NanoCenter, where he acquainted with experimental facilities, instrumentation complexes and modern high-tech infrastructure. During the excursion much attention was paid to the informational component of educational process and scientific researches in the field of nanotechnologies and modern nano-industry.
Dendev Badarch and his attendants took part in a working meeting, where prospects of information technologies’ usage in education were discussed with representatives of the University. MEPhI vice-principals E.B. Vesna and N.M. Dmitriev told about relevant experience of the University. A dean of a faculty “Management and economics of high technologies” A.V.Putilov told about a system of information support of educational technologies in the field of engineering economics “INFOMEPhIST”. The head of the Department of pedagogy and methods of natural-science education L.N.Dukhanina paid attention to interaction with international organizations, to the use of advanced world experience and to prospects of creation of the specialized UNESCO Department at the MEPhI.
At the end of the meeting a Memorandum was signed, stipulating the procedure for cooperation between UNESCO and MEPhI, as well as main trends of joint work in the use of modern information technologies in educational process.
