On February 14, the Prime Minister Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the rectors of higher educational institutions of the country.

The participants of the discussion expressed the idea to create the system of "social mobility" in Russia for talented people. There were discussed as well the priority measures that the government is ready to implement in order to change the status of university teachers.

The state will control the process: from the 1 of September, 2012 the level of the salaries of the University teachers’ staff will not be lower than the average wage for the region, and in the period from 2013 to 2018-it will grow twice concerning the average wage.
I also concerns the students and graduate students.

As was noted at the meeting that there are already examples of successful solutions of such financial problems. In St. Petersburg, for example, exists a campus for students, where you can find a pool, gym, security. There you can have lunch for 120 rubles and learn a profession that will help to earn money while the student is studying.
