The Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) has announced the results of the competition 2012 for medals with prizes for the young scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences, other institutions, organizations of Russia and for the students of higher educational institutions. These competitions are held annually in order to identify and support talented young researchers in nineteen major areas of natural, engineering and human sciences.
In the field of nuclear physics the medal and the prize of the Russian Academy of Sciences was awarded to the 6th year student of the Department of Experimental and Theoretical Physics of the National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI" Shulzhenko Ivan Andreyevich. Ivan has become the winner presenting his diploma work "Calibration telescope system of Cherenkov water detector NEVOD."
MEPhI congratulates Ivan Shulzhenko with this deserved award and wish him new scientific and artistic achievements for the benefit of Russia and the University!
