On March 18, 20 and 22 will be held at the University the lectures of one of the leading specialists of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics, Italy (Gran Sasso Laboratory) Benjamin Sergeyevich Berezinsky "High energies cosmic rays."
Proposed cycle of lectures is devoted to students and researchers who are not specialized in the field of cosmic rays. The main theme of lectures - the cosmic rays of ultrahigh energies 1018-1020 eV, theoretical materials for the spectrum, chemical composition and the transition from galactic cosmic rays at energies of 1015 eV to extragalactic at energies 1018 - 1019 eV.
The first lecture of V.Berezinsky will be held on March 18 in the auditorium D-407 from 16:15 to 18:40, it will be entirely devoted to the historical aspects.
During the second lecture (March 20, T-406 from 16:15 to 18:40) will be described the standard model for galactic cosmic rays, which includes sources, acceleration and propagation of cosmic rays.
The subject of the third lecture (March 22, A-304 from 16:15 to 18:40) will be the ultra-high energies: the spread of protons and nuclei in the extragalactic space and features in the spectrum arising from the interaction with the cosmic background radiation (the Greisen - Zatsepin - Kuzmin) and with infrared and optical radiation.
