On June, 28, before the start of the opening ceremony of the All-Russian "Rosatom" construction，the Volgodonsk Engineering and Technical Institute of the MEPhI presented the members of its construction brigade (CB) "Energy”.

Due to the successful introduction of the CB program at our institute and the need for young specialists, the Russian NPP increased the quantity of work-places. Last summer CB "Energy” had 130 members, today – 180. At the meeting Anton Chumakov was chosen as the commander of the brigade, and on June, 28 the position of the commissar was taken up by Julia Utinskaya.

The VITI construction brigade of the MEPhI is 5 years old and during this time the students could not only show their talent by building significant objects for the nuclear industry, but also gain work experience.

As the Institute prepares specialists in the fields directly connected with the nuclear industry, the participation of students in such working brigades during certain semesters allows them to put their theoretical knowledge into practice.

During the presentation of the CB “Energy” the commander and the commissar checked the compliance of the emblems on the uniforms (boytsovkas) with the required standards.

On June 29, 2013, the opening of the All-Russian construction "Rosatom" took place on the Square Pobedy. Besides the VITI construction brigade "Energy” of the MEPhI which was the most numerous, there gathered other members and commanders of the construction brigades of Moscow, Altai, Nizhny Novgorod and other cities of our immense Homeland.

The gathered were addressed by the commander of the center of the all-Russian public organization for young people "Russian Student Brigades" Mikhail Kiselyov, the deputy head of the city administration on social development Natalia Polischuk and the head of the Volgodonsk Engineering Technical Institute of the MEPhI Valentina Rudenko.

Each commander of a CB was presented with Certificates to organize work on the facilities of the power units under construction of the Rostov Nuclear Power Plant and participate in the All-Russian student construction "Rosatom".

As part of the concert program the audience was presented with the history of construction brigades, participation of students in all-Union constructions, the special spirit and traditions. So, full of enthusiasm, good mood, optimism, energy and desire to create, the students joined the ranks of the construction brigades and spent the eve of their first week of work.
