The delegation of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI held talks with representatives of the Russian-Armenian University in Yerevan.

Dmitry Savkin, Vice Rector for International Cooperation, represented the university at the meeting. The RAU was represented by Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Marina Khachatryan, Vice Rector for Science Parkev Avetisyan and Director of the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and High Technologies Aharon Aharonian.
The topics discussed have already been raised before: in June 2025, universities discussed options for joint work in the field of science and education. Now both sides note that this area has become particularly relevant.
Potential projects of interest to the two universities go beyond the usual academic partnership. We are talking about tasks that are significant at the interstate level. Among the priorities: the training of specialists in the financial sector and in the field of information technology, including artificial intelligence, telecommunications and satellite communications, as well as the development of interdisciplinary areas (medical physics and bioinformatics).
The meeting participants agreed that pooling resources would create unique educational solutions that would be in demand by future professionals and useful for the economy and society of the two countries. At the same time, both universities have a strong material base, modern educational programs and a well-developed research infrastructure necessary for the training of highly qualified personnel.
