On January 28, the ceremonial opening of the XV anniversary International Conference on Photonics and Information Optics took place at the National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI". The event, organized by the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI in cooperation with the Russian Academy of Sciences, will become the main platform for the presentation of advanced achievements and the exchange of experience of leading scientists in the field of optical technologies for three days.

The conference is attended by representatives of key scientific and educational centers in Russia, including Moscow State University, MIPT, ITMO University, the Russian Quantum Center, as well as other Russian and foreign organizations. More than 300 scientific reports will be presented during the event, which highlights the scale and significance of the event for the global scientific community.

The program of the first day opened with a plenary session, after which the work of the thematic sections began. Already today, the participants are discussing the optics of crystals, optical materials, nonlinear optics and the interaction of radiation with matter. On January 29 and 30, the scientific program will be continued with sections on radiophotonics, fiber optics, optoelectronics, holography and other promising fields. The conference will end with a final plenary session.

The XV International Conference on Photonics and Information Optics at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI confirms the university's status as one of the flagships of personnel training and the generation of scientific knowledge in the field of high technologies, contributing to strengthening international cooperation and determining the vectors of photonics development for the coming years.
