Laboratory was established on the basis of the Institute of Intelligent Cybernetic Systems (IICS) National Research Nuclear University MEPhI. It will include graduates and teachers of the Department of Cryptology and Cybersecurity, as well as BI.ZONE specialists with expertise in finding computer system vulnerabilities and conducting CTF competitions.

The main areas of the laboratory's work are joint research projects with graduate and undergraduate students, as well as support and development of the CTF community at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI. The laboratory will become a platform where students will be able to gain valuable experience that will be useful in their professional activities in the future.

Evgeny Voloshin, Director of Strategy at BI.ZONE: "At BI.ZONE we build long—term relationships with young professionals - we see potential in them, help them develop it, and hire the best to join the team. It is important for us not only to support educational projects, but also to help students learn practical skills that are in demand in cybersecurity. The creation of the Cyber Threat Search and Analysis laboratory at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI is an opportunity for future experts to gain experience working with real—world tasks under the guidance of our professionals."

Konstantin Kogos, Director of the IICS of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI: "Today, many IT companies limit themselves to formal interaction with universities: events, internships for the best students. These are important but targeted initiatives. A real partnership begins when the university and the company create technologies together and form a new generation of specialists. Opening a laboratory with BI.ZONE is just such a case of strategic cooperation. The laboratory will include graduates of our Department of Cryptology and Cybersecurity. This creates generational continuity and shows students real career prospects, from studying at MEPhI to working for a leading company in the industry."
