The National Research Nuclear University MEPhI continues to actively develop the market of nuclear and related training areas in the Republic of Kazakhstan, being a key localized player in the country.
This year, the list of educational products at the Alma Ata branch of MEPhI was expanded – bachelor's degree programs in control automation and nuclear technologies were added. Dmitry Savkin, Vice-Rector of MEPhI, reported to Deputy Prime Minister Tamara Duisenova and Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek about our university's plans to create a consortium of nuclear education in the Republic of Kazakhstan to consolidate human resources and coordinate the training process for future nuclear power facilities that are planned to be launched in the country.
"We are also working on the creation of joint research projects, internships for students and teachers in leading Russian and international nuclear centers. Special attention will be paid to cooperation with industry companies such as NAC KAZATOMPROM to ensure that graduates receive not only fundamental knowledge, but also practical experience in demand on the global market," said Dmitry Savkin.
