From November 4-6, the International Science Fiction Symposium "Creating the Future" was held at the National Center "Russia", which was actively attended by staff and students of MEPhI.
11 representatives of our university were participants and speakers of the Symposium.
Roman Dushkin, Senior lecturer at the Department of Cybernetics at the Institute of Intelligent Cybernetic Systems of the National Research University of MEPhI, took part in the section "Transport of the Future " as a speaker.
"I spoke on the topic of convergence of intelligent transport systems and unmanned technologies," Roman Dushkin said. - I talked about how in the near future drones will communicate with each other using V2X technologies, and at the same time communicate with the most intelligent transport system — ITS. And all this will lead to the emergence of a traffic system without human drivers, who, in fact, interfere with everything. After all, it is human drivers who get behind the wheel drunk, do not turn on their turn signals, play checkers on the road, violate the speed limit and all other points of the traffic rules - drones do not do this."
Konstantin Frumkin, Head of the Media Department, Candidate of Cultural Studies, was a speaker at the sections "Sports of the Futurenal link)" and "Past experience in the contours of the Future " - The last section was devoted to the importance of studying the history of Russian science.
the head of the Sports of the Future section, Konstantin Frumkin, talked about the gradual process of introducing technologies into the world of sports, which, as its natural continuation, will necessarily lead to the cyborgization of the athlete's body. The section "The experience of the past in the contours of the future" discussed the importance of the Soviet experience of increasing the prestige of a scientist's work as a factor stimulating the development of science.
the symposium "Creating the Future" was conceived as a platform for a comprehensive dialogue about the future of the world. Representatives of government and business, scientists and engineers, futurists and forecasters, public figures and representatives of creative industries from the BRICS, SCO, CIS countries and representatives of other foreign countries sharing the idea of a multipolar world were invited to participate in the event.
