MEPhI Will Host the TERA-2023 Conference
17.02.2023

From February 27 to March 2, MEPhI will host the 5th Conference with international participation "Terahertz and Microwave Radiation: Generation, Detection and Applications" (TERA-2023). The co-organizers of the conference are the Russian Academy of Sciences, Lomonosov Moscow State University and Kurchatov Institute.

  The TERA-2023 conference is dedicated to the discussion of fundamental and applied scientific problems related to the generation and detection of terahertz and microwave radiation, as well as its interaction with matter. The conference will be attended by leading scientists from Russia and foreign guests, teachers, engineers, students and graduate students whose activities are related to microwave and THz electromagnetic wave technologies.

Among the topics of the conference:

  • Properties of materials in the THz frequency range (Photonic crystals, metamaterials, 2D materials, topological phases, plasmonics;
  • THz biophotonics and biomedicine;
  • Physics of superstrong electromagnetic fields and research complexes of the "megascience" class;
  • THz and microwave components and systems;
  • Electronics, optoelectronics, THz and microwave spectroscopy.
  • Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Conference – Rector of MEPhI Vladimir Shevchenko. Chairman of the Conference Program Committee - Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Dmitry Khokhlov.

The conference program and other details can be found on the conference website.
