Graduates of Leading Russian Universities Entered the MEPhI Master's Programs

This year, 721 people entered the master’s programs of the MEPhI. A significant part of them are graduates of the university itself, but there are also many graduates of other prestigious universities. MEPhI has successfully met the acceptance targets.

The number of budget places for master's programs was increased by 14% compared to 2021, and by 39% compared to 2020. Besides, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia allocated additional places.

The increase in budget places was mainly in IT areas and areas of economic profile - the popularity of professions related to computer technology is still unabated, and the nuclear industry needs competent managers.

Traditionally, graduates of the university (42%) and other leading Moscow and Russian universities (58%) entered the MEPhI master's programs.

The competition for applicants to the MEPhI master's programs took into account not only the points received for the entrance interview, but also the amount of points awarded for individual achievements. In particular, the achievements received for participation in iconic Olympiads, publication activity and successful studies at the previous level were taken into account.

Among those admitted to the budget - 13% of foreign undergraduates: 94 people will come to study at MEPhI from the Donetsk People's Republic, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan. They preferred IT and engineering areas.
