The MEPhI branch was opened in Almaty on the basis of an agreement initiated by the Head of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2022.
The unique educational programs of the MEPhI branch are focused on the professions of the future and comply with international standards of engineering education.
In 2022, admission to the Kazakhstan branch of the Russian Nuclear University is conducted for the following programs:
"Secure High-Performance Computing Systems" (direction "Informatics and Computer Engineering", bachelor's and master's programs);
"Physics of elementary particles and space physics" (direction "Nuclear physics and technologies", bachelor's degree).
The admission committee is already accepting documents for admission from the first applicants.
This year, 100 grants have been allocated for applicants, as well as the opportunity to enroll in paid training in the direction of "Informatics and Computer Engineering".
Entrance tests for admission to the bachelor's degree:
August 3 – for the direction "Nuclear physics and technologies" (physics);
August 5 – for the direction "Nuclear physics and technology" (mathematics);
August 5 – for the direction "Computer science and computer technology" (mathematics).
Entrance interviews for admission to the master's program in the field of "Informatics and Computer Engineering" – August 27.
