On July 12, MEPhI hosted one of the largest events of the year - the graduation. Hundreds of bachelor's, master's, specialist's and postgraduate students said goodbye to their institutes and faculties in order to take the next step - to become professionals in the most important sectors of the Russian economy.

While awarding the diplomas with honors, MEPhI rector Vladimir Shevchenko compared graduation with entering a higher orbit. To overcome the gravity of the Earth, the rocket must have several separable stages, and today the graduates have "worked out" one important stage and are at the stage of turning on the next one.

Vladimir Shevchenko wished those who decided to connect their fate with science to know the joy of discovery, those who choose the career of an entrepreneur - to build large companies, successful projects that will improve the lives of hundreds of thousands, and maybe even millions of people.

The rector emphasized that the university will always be waiting for its graduates, and its doors will always be open for them, if they want to share their success, talk about their victory, and if they need advice from their teachers or university friends.

“I am convinced that there is no better compass in a person's life than love. Love your relatives, loved ones, friends, your future children, your work, your vocation, your craft, love your Motherland. I want to wish you that your life is filled with all kinds and forms of love that a person can know,” Vladimir Shevchenko concluded his speech.
