Rector of the MEPhI Vladimir Shevchenko and President of the Kazakhstan Center for International Programs Anuar Zhangozin signed a Memorandum of Understanding on February 9. The ceremony took place at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.

The Center for International Programs is the operator of the most authoritative international scholarship in Kazakhstan "Bolashak", allocated by the government of the republic for training the specialists for priority sectors of the country's economy in leading companies and universities of the world.

For 19 years more than 11,000 people have become Bolashak scholarship holders. Now they occupy key positions in government bodies and various sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan.

Currently, 357 Kazakhstani students are studying at the MEPhI in various areas of training. The agreement with the Center for International Programs will provide an opportunity for other talented young people from the largest Central Asian republic to study at one of the best universities in the world.
