The International Symposium on Cosmic Rays and Astrophysics (ISCRA) the third in a row was held on June 08-10, 2021 online. It was organized by the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) and the Cosmic Rays and Elementary Particles Consortium under the auspices of the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the complex problem “Cosmic Rays”.
The aim of the Symposium is a wide discussion of experimental and theoretical results obtained in actual research directions in the field of High Energy Cosmic Rays and Astrophysics, as well as promotion of contacts between researchers and development of new ideas in fundamental and applied studies.
Within the framework of scientific sessions, issues related to multicomponent EAS investigations, energy spectrum and mass composition around and above the "knee", nucleus-nucleus interactions at high energies, gamma rays investigations, as well as to cosmo- and geophysical aspects of cosmic rays were discussed.
More than 120 participants from Russia and other countries (Germany, Italy, Spain, Kazakhstan, China, USA, France, South Africa) took part in the event. More than 20 students and postgraduates of the Institute of Nuclear Physics and Technology (INPhT), MEPhI participated as listeners.
Within the framework of the symposium, 56 reports were presented, including 24 reports from the participants of the Cosmic rays and elementary particles Consortium, which includes:
- National Research Nuclear University MEPhI
- MSU Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics
- P.N. Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences
