On 9 June, 2021, the RAEX Rating Aency has released the 10th anniversary ranking of the 100 best universities in Russia. MEPhI took a third place among all Russian universities:

The ranking results were presented at the IX International University Forum, which was attended by rectors of leading Russian universities, experts and specialists in the field of higher education, etc.
Rector of MEPhI M.N. Strikhanov took part in the discussion about the new program for the universities development "Priority-2030": “Today to solve the national problems of the country, it becomes necessary to integrate university, academic and industrial science. This can be done, in particular, by creating consortia that will solve important problems, including the creation and implementation of breakthrough technologies. An equally important task is the development of regional universities.”
The 100 best universities in Russia Ranking assessed the availability of education, the social vector of personnel training and the share of budget-funded places, the number of indexed scientific publications and international integration.
