On May 26, the results of ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2021 were published. This ranking is one of the most popular world rankings.

National Research Nuclear University MEPhI enters a group of 151-200 in the field of physics and took 3-4 place among all Russian universities.

ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking 2021 includes 54 academic subjects in such scientific areas as natural sciences, engineering sciences, life sciences, medical sciences, and social sciences. In total, the ranking covered 1800 universities, including 19 universities in Russia.

Experts have assessed the productivity of scientific activity, the quality of research; the citation index; the international cooperation; the number of publications in the best magazines; the number of employees with prestigious industry-specific awards based on the ShanghaiRanking Academic Excellence Survey.
