MEPhI hosted Rosatom Careers Fair for international graduates

On February 25, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI hosted an online Rosatom Careers Fair for international graduates.

More than 180 graduates of MEPhI from countries such as Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Zambia, Ethiopia, Bolivia, Turkey, Egypt, Algeria, Germany, India, Jordan, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, Sudan, Chad, Ecuador, etc. took part in the event.

Vice-Rector of MEPhI Natalya Barbashina addressed the alumni with a welcoming speech. She wished the graduates success in their future employment and also invited them to join the MEPhI Alumni Club.

Director of the International Cooperation in Nuclear Education Project Valery Karezin made a welcoming speech on behalf of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom. “The nuclear industry is traditionally one of the most dynamically developing in both Russia and the world, and it constantly needs highly qualified personnel. Therefore, we focus on the development of human resources. This is the only way to create the foundation for future leadership in the international market”, said Valery Karezin.

Ambassador of Russian nuclear education in Zambia Bvembya Anthony spoke about his life and studying at MEPhI.  The graduate from Jordan Hamdi Alalavin and the graduate from Turkey Orchun Choban shared also their memories. As well as hundreds of other international graduates, they successfully found employment in their homeland.

After that, the graduates worked in groups: they could learn about employment opportunities from representatives of various ROSATOM companies (JSC Rusatom Service, JSC Rusatom Overseas, JSC Akkuyu Nuclear, Rusatom Energo International, JSC Atomstroyexport),  Embassy of the People's Republic of Bangladesh in Moscow,  Uzatom Agency under the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan,  NAC Kazatomprom JSC, Institute of Energy and Electrical Engineering of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia, Belarusian NPP RUE,  Belenergo NPP GPO, Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute, Jordan Atomic Energy Commission.  All partners reported that they are ready to discuss issues of further employment of graduates in their homeland.
