MEPhI improves position in QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia 2020 ranking

The Quacquarelli Symonds rating agency (QS) has published an annual ranking of the top universities from emerging Europe and central Asia ­– QS EECA University Rankings 2020. The ranking includes 350 best universities (out of 568 reviewed).

MEPhI has ranked 24th (26th last year), entering the top five universities participating in the Russian Excellence Project 5-100.

"We have ambitious goals in terms of developing the export of educational services, which can be achieved by combining modern educational technologies, innovative approach, best traditions of the Soviet school and international experience. We consider the export of education as a full-fledged sphere of economic activity. The resources of the national projects "Education" and "Science" are investments in the brand "Russian education", which in the coming years should regain its leadership in the most prestigious world rankings," said the head of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Mikhail Kotyukov, commenting on the results.
