On July 22, the delegation of the Aix-Marseille University (France) has paid an official visit to MEPhI.

This month the Aix-Marseille University became a member of the Russian-French University (RFU). The Russian-French University is a consortium of leading Russian and French educational organizations interested in the development and institutionalization of joint projects. MEPhI is one of the founders of RFU from the Russian side.

The delegation included the President of the Aix-Marseille University Yvon Berland, Vice-Chairwoman of the Board of Directors Marie Masclet de Barbarin, Research Vice President Pierre Chiappetta, Training Vice President Thierry Paul, Director of the President Office Virginie Perret. They were accompanied by the Director for the development of international education and cooperation at RANEPA Larisa Taradina and other staff of the Russian Presidential Academy, which is also part of the RFU.

During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with MEPhI scientific units: Engineering and Laser centers, Nanocenter, Laboratory of bionanophotonics and scientific and educational center NEVOD, where the staff spoke in details about their work. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further scientific cooperation and academic mobility.
