International information group "Interfax" has presented the results of the tenth National University ranking 2019.

The activity of the universities was evaluated by six parameters: brand, educational activity; research activity; social environment; internationalization (international cooperation); innovation and technological entrepreneurship.

National Research Nuclear University MEPhI took the second place in the ranking of "Interfax" among all Russian universities. In the first place is MSU, on the third – MIPT.

At a press conference, devoted to the publication of the rating results, the Director of the Department of state policy in the field of higher education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation E.G. Babelyuk noted: "The Ministry, as a state regulator, always pays close attention to independent assessments of our higher education system. Monitoring of universities is also important for the universities themselves – useful to make decisions on its basis. And I think that this rating of Interfax will have a great future."
