The British rating agency Times Higher Education (THE) has published a rating of the most international universities in the world, which includes 200 universities from 30 countries.

The ranking is based on the use of 4 indicators: the proportion of foreign teaching staff of University, foreign students, scientific publications written in collaboration with foreign scientists and the international reputation of the University.

For the first time, MEPhI is included in the Top-200 of the rating "The most international universities of the world". The University has taken the 159th place (3rd place among the participants of the Project 5-100).

The top five of this rating includes 2 universities from Switzerland – École Polytechnic Fédérale de Lausanne (1st place) and ETH Zurich – Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (2nd place), then – University of Hong Kong (3rd place), National University of Singapore (4th place) and Imperial College London (5th place).

The representation of the Russian higher school in the ranking has significantly expanded this year (7 universities) compared with 2017 (2 universities). It occurs thanks to the participants of the Project 5-100. So, along with MEPhI the rating includes 6 Russian universities – MSU (131), TSU (146), MIPT (154), HSE (162), NSU (170) and SPBU (174).
