In accordance with the order of the Rosatom State Corporatopn for personnel training for the nuclear infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey in 2018-2019 academic year, MEPhI has developed and launched 2 master degree programs of joint training with the Hacettepe University (Ankara) and the Istanbul Technical University (Istanbul).

Since October 20, the first stage of visiting lectures of MEPhI teachers, implemented within the program of joint training in the direction of "nuclear energy", has been taking place on the basis of the Hacettepe University. Lectures and seminars for students are conducted by the employees of the Institute of Nuclear Physics and Engineering MEPhI – candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor A.I. Ksenofontov, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor V.N. Fedoseev, and candidate of technical sciences, associate professor D.S. Samokhin.

Visiting lectures and seminars of MEPhI teachers form an educational module, which includes specialized courses on the basic principles of operation and management of nuclear reactors such as VVER-1000 and VVER-1200, types of radiation and risk analysis in nuclear facilities. 78 students of the Hacettepe University take part in the program.

The second stage of the MEPhI visiting lectures in the framework of the joint master's program "Energy and energy technology" with the Istanbul Technical University is scheduled for November and December 2018. More than 50 Turkish students will participate in the program.
