The article of associate professors of the department № 44 N. Miloslavskaya and A. Tolstoy under the title "Internet of Things: information security challenges and solutions" is at the final stage of preparation for publication in the "Cluster Computing" by Springer.

To keep up with the growing Internet of things in a dynamic and complex cyberspace, you need to be aware of the latest trends in network attacks and take them into account when developing comprehensive approaches to information security (IS) for the Internet of things. Because of the numerous vulnerabilities in the basics of creating the Internet of things, various targeted attacks on it continue to develop. The article provides an overview of the work in this very specialized field of providing information security for the Internet of things and develops a taxonomy of typical attacks on the assets of the Internet of things (with special attention to the protection of Internet devices of things). Based on this taxonomy, the key directions of counteraction against such attacks are determined. In accordance with the current needs for the processing of Internet data items and data on its IS, which can be classified as large data, the article proposes an approach based on intelligent security management. The obtained results (in comparison with similar works) are based on the following research methodology: consideration of the Internet of things as a protection object, which leads to an understanding of its vulnerabilities and possible attacks on the Internet of things using these vulnerabilities, and on this basis the choice of approaches to protecting the Internet of things. The article concludes with several seemingly most interesting areas of future research for the authors, among them the operational stability of the Internet of things and the use of blocking technologies to protect the Internet of things.
