The URSS publishing house has published the book penned by N.A. Kudryashov and M.N. Strikhanov "The chronicles of the nuclear university MEPhI" in the series "Science in the Soviet Union: Through the difficulties to the stars". The book represents the epoch of University’s formation and provides exclusive historical materials based on documentary evidences, archival documents and facts, and memories of scientists. The authors disassemble the history of the first fifty years of the development of the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, now – the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI.
The uniqueness of the publication lies in the fact that the history of the legendary institution is conveyed through the fate of people who took part in its formation. "The history of the University is not only the creation of new educational courses, new laboratories, and scientific discoveries.
