According to the Ministry of Education and Science, MEPhI is in the top-5 of universities, whose graduates are the ones who are most in demand in the country.

Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation has submitted data on monitoring of the employment of 2015 graduates.

During the monitoring, data on more than 1 million 267 thousand graduates of 2015 on the basis of their employment in 2016, provided by the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation, Rosobrnadzor and educational organizations of higher education, were processed.

The average percentage of graduates’ employment in 2015 compared to the monitoring of the previous  year remained the same and amounted to 75%. Leaders are graduates of universities with a category of National Research University.

MEPhI entered the top 5 universities, whose graduates are the most sought-after (the share of employment is 85.8%).

The five leaders included also Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, Finance University and Moscow Aviation Institute.

Ministry of Education and Science named the average salary of graduates of Russian universities in the first year of work - 27.7 thousand rubles. Graduates of MEPhI are among the highest-paid young specialists of the country, with an average salary of 53 thousand rubles.

According to the monitoring results, the highest average monthly salary is among graduates of engineering specialties. Thus, experts in the field of "Aeronavigation and operation of aviation and rocket and space technology" receive on average more than 63 thousand rubles. They are followed by graduates in the areas of applied geology, mining, oil and gas business and geodesy - more than 52 thousand rubles,"Nuclear power and technology" - 48 thousand rubles.

In the context of qualifications the highest results are achieved by graduates of the magistracy, they get a job more often and receive a higher salary than the graduates of the bachelor's degree and specialist one. However, there is no significant difference between the salaries of the latter.
