Associate Professor of ICIS Department of Applied Mathematics gets prize of Russian Academy of Sciences
05.06.2017

On May 30, 2017 the winners of the 2016 Competition for medals of the Russian Academy of Sciences for young scientists of Russia and for students of higher educational institutions of Russia were awarded in the building of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Honored awards of the Russian Academy of Sciences were given to 67 specialists conducting both fundamental and applied research. Among the laureates there is a young scientist, associate professor of ICIS Applied Mathematics Department (№ 31) Dmitriy Sinelschikov awarded for a series of works "Nonlocal transforms for searching for integrable nonlinear differential equations of the Lienar type" performed in the scientific group headed by Professor N.A. Kudryashov.

The paper is devoted to finding integrable equations of Lienard type with the use of nonlocal transformations. Carrying out research in this field is topical, since nonlinear differential equations of this type are used in describing many processes in physics, chemistry, biology and in a number of other branches of science. A new approach is proposed for finding new classes of integrable equations of Lienard type, which consists in investigating the connection defined by nonlocal transformations between equations of the Lienard type and the Painleve-Gambier equations.

The results of the work were reported at international and All-Russian conferences and published in the following journals with high impact factor: Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical, Physics Letters A, Applied Mathematics Letters, Regular and Chaotic Dynamic.

We congratulate Dmitriy and wish him success.
