On March, 20-22 the IV annual international Forum "NDExpo-2017" has been held in the Centre of international trade, which was organized under the support of the Agency of strategic initiatives, Russian venture company, and State atomic energy corporation “Rosatom”. An engineering contest “Tower-generator” was organized as a part of the Forum. The participants of the contest had a task to design and construct within 4 hours a facility, which allows transform the energy of the falling body into electric power. The winner of the contest is the team which gets maximum profit as the result of facility work.
Difficult but interesting engineering struggle among students and employees of leading research universities, i.e. FSUE VNIIA, MPEI, MISIS, MEPhI (teams of which were represented at the contest) was joined by MEPhI Pre-university (representing 2 teams of lyceum students of 10th and 11th forms). As the result of the contest “Tower-generator”, the winner is the team of MEPhI Pre-university “POOL 1511”, and the second place was taken by the team of MEPhI.
