On January, 30-31, 2017 a scientific-practical conference with international participation “Forming of space for creation of innovations” was held in MEPhI, during which prospects and mechanisms of realization of the “Strategy of scientific-technological development of the RF” № 642, asserted by the decree of the President of the RF on December, 1, 2016, were discussed.

During the conference it was highlighted that the priority project “Universities as centres of space for creation of innovations”, the certificate of which was affirmed by the presidium of the Council under the President of the RF in strategic development and priority projects (protocol of October, 25, 2016, № 9), aims higher education organisations at backbone actions in forming of space for creation of innovations, which significantly provides realization of the general strategy of scientific-technological development.

On the first day, roundtables were conducted with discussion at the Moscow site of the event of innovative problems in economics and management, business informatics, protection of intellectual property and regional economy. The second day of the conference was opened with a plenary meeting, the translation of which was organized to all the autonomous subdivisions of the university. Before that heads of these subdivisions invited to take part in a telecommunication plenary meeting the heads of enterprises, which are near these subdivisions and make the basis of the industrial block of “Rosatom” state corporation.

During the plenary meeting leading specialists from the Russian Academy of Sciences and “Rosatom” state corporation, teachers from the Moscow site and autonomous subdivisions of MEPhI had the floor. The citizens of the Kazakhstan Republic, who took part in the plenary meeting, noted the similarity of innovative problems in both countries. In the process of the conference work, following the results of reports, speeches, and roundtables, recommendations were prepared on forming of space for creation of innovations, which, after slight corrections, will be sent to MEPhI autonomous subdivisions.

It is planned to make the conference regular, the terms and the consequence of sites will be defined later.
