MEPhI has entered top 100 of international Round University Ranking in the field of natural sciences, taking the second place among Russian universities. Only 3 Russian universities entered top 200 of best world’s universities in this ranking (Bauman MSTU is 64th, MEPhI is 72th, Lomonosov MSU is 160th). All in all, 548 universities have entered the ranking.

The universities have been estimated by 5 indicators, each having the weight coefficient of 20 % in the ranking:

• The share of foreign teachers in the overall number of teaching staff;
• The share of foreign students in the overall number of students;
• The number of foreign publications with international coauthors;
• International university’s reputation abroad;
• The level of university’s internationalization.
