
British journal Times Higher Education (THE) has published the ranking of higher education institutions in BRICS & Emerging Economies countries. MEPhI is among top three Russian universities, showing positive dynamics.
THE ranking for BRICS & Emerging Economies countries is formed on the basis of 13 criteria, grouped in categories – educational, research activity, transfer of knowledge, and level of internalization of students and teachers. 300 universities from 50 states have been ranked.
The first place among Russian universities was taken by Lomonosov Moscow State University (3rd in the overall ranking). On the second one there is Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (12th position in the ranking). National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, improving previous result for 7 positions (from 26th to 19th place), is on the third position among 24 Russian participants of the ranking.
Several more Russian universities in the top 100: ITMO University (27), Saint Petersburg State University (30), Novosibirsk state university (38), National Research University “Higher School of Economics” (48), Tomsk Polytechnic University (56), Tomsk State University (60), Kazan Federal University (66).
