From November, 21, 2016 the IV All-Russian forum “Future intellectual leaders of Russia”, gathering about 500 talented schoolchildren from all over the country, has been conducted in Yaroslavl. These are winners of Olympiads, contests of scientific-technical art, patent-holders and authors of inventions.
News body: From November, 21, 2016 the IV All-Russian forum “Future intellectual leaders of Russia”, gathering about 500 talented schoolchildren from all over the country, has been conducted in Yaroslavl. These are winners of Olympiads, contests of scientific-technical art, patent-holders and authors of inventions.
One of the main aims of the forum is provoking of schoolchildren’s interest to engineering, creation of All-Russian young talents’ reserve.
Forum’s opening ceremony started with the welcoming speech of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, which was read out by the Minister of Education and Science of the RF Olga Vasilieva.
Intensive educational and business program was waiting for gifted schoolchildren with the participation of representatives of leading universities and innovative corporations. There are educational workshops and business games, solving of project business tasks, and conducting experimental research, work in teams and participation in scientific discussions. The unique experience about modern industries and professions of the future is shared by famous scientists and practitioners in natural-science and engineering-technical fields.
The educational program of the Forum includes lectures of leading corporate, scientific, and university experts, dedicated to the review of the most relevant and perspective tasks of modern economy; project sessions on solving specially developed and adapted tasks from professional practices; work in laboratories on solving real technological and natural-science tasks; workshops on methods and approaches on solving tasks; projecting and conducting research, necessary for successful solution of professional tasks; trainings on the most important competences in solving professional tasks etc.
Project sessions for schoolchildren are organized around solving case tasks, each of which is an adapted for schoolchildren version of a real task from professional practice. The tasks were suggested by Forum partners – industrial companies, scientific institutes, institutes of development, small innovative enterprises, startups etc.
Each schoolchild will take part in solving of different types of tasks: a research task, an engineering task, a task for creation of a new product.
The work of laboratories is organized in a way that laboratory sessions were a part of tasks’ solving.
Special workshops and trainings allow quickly get necessary competences, skills, and technology.
When solving case tasks and participating in all other kinds of engineering activity, schoolchildren get ranking points from experts and representatives of potential employers.
MEPhI prepared cases for 4 directions: life technologies, movement technologies, IT, and technologies of materials. The cases had following names: “Module system of electric energy storage”, “A biodosimeter of SHF radiation”, “An anthropomorphic robot-driver”, “An application of neurointerfaces”, “LEDs on the basis of semiconductor quantum dots”, ”Projecting layer design of metamorphic heterostructure at GaAs base plate”.
On one of the Forum’s days First Deputy Head of the President Administration Sergey Kirienko met with young talents. He observed the areas and talked with young constructors.
Now the participants of the first forum study in the best universities of the country, cooperate with corporations, and get patents, and their young successors come to the Forum to work with difficult tasks from world famous technical companies and industrial corporations.
