For the second time the Rating Agency RAEX (Expert RA) has produced a top 200 of the best schools in Russia. The ranking assesses schools according to the results of graduates who enter the best universities of Russia – universities from the top 20 of the Expert RA ranking.

“This year we started to consider data of two admission campaigns (2015 and 2014) that gives more balanced results”, Alexey Khodyrev, Executive Director of “University Rankings” RAEX (Expert RA) commented features of a rating preparation. “In addition, information on enrollment, which universities sent directly to the Rating Agency, have become more adjusted and full. In total, we processed admission information of more than 87 thousand pupils from 15 thousand Russian schools”.

According to the study, six leaders of schools ranking 2015 have confirmed its leadership ambitions in 2016, without changing their positions compared to the last year. The top three of the best schools in Russia includes the Pre-university of MEPhI.

Analysts note that most of schools located at the top have physics and mathematics or natural science bias: only 5 among top-20 schools have equal or dominate Humanities compared to Engineering sciences. The top-5 of the rating includes 4 physics and mathematics schools; their graduates successfully enter not only technical universities but economic universities as well.
