On February, 14 high-school children, college and lyceum graduates and their parents have gathered at an Open day in MEPhI.

At first, a film about MEPhI was shown to tell about university’s educational and research activities. Then MEPhI Vice-rector Vladimir Uzhva gave a speech. He said that changes in educational programs are aimed at training of unique specialists who are ready to solve actual tasks in cybernetics, informational and financial security, develop program products and technologies. After him the Deputy Head of the Institute G.N. Lebedev spoke above the advantages of studying in MEPhI. He said that students make their research from the first year of studying, taking part in Russian and international research projects, showing their results at conferences.

Institute of Financial and Economic Security is one of structural subdivisions of the Institute of intellectual cybernetic systems. Personnel Management representative of Federal Financial Monitoring Service S.A. Samoilenko mentioned that 22 % of their employees have graduated from MEPhI.

The Head of the Senior Division S.I. Mezhuev claimed that they train reserve officers, reserve sergeants and reserve soldiers. Selection committee secretary V.I. Skritnyi told that the educational process has become more flexible.

That day Engineering contest took place the winners of which will have benefits applying to university.
