Educational process in the fall semester 2020/2021 are implementing at MEPhI in accordance with the recommendations of Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor, methodical recommendations МР 3.1 / 2.1.0205-20) and Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The conditions for organizing the educational process allow students to safely acquire knowledge and skills without loss of quality.

1. Classes in the fall semester 2020/2021 begin on 01.09.2020 and are conducted in a mixed mode: face-to-face (in MEPhI’s classrooms) and remotely (using online technologies). The format of the classes is stated in the schedule.
2. After enrollment and distribution in groups, foreign students of the 1st year begin their studies remotely, regardless of their location (in Russia or abroad).
3. For accessing the schedule and connecting to distance learning, freshman should register on the corporate following the link https://home.mephi.ru/students/new. The account can be used to access various electronic services of MEPhI, including a personal account and a schedule.

5. If you have any questions or need help, you can contact the Faculty of Foreign Students or hotline your institutes educational departments.
6. Foreign students of the 2nd and senior courses study according to the schedule. For students outside Russia, individual curriculums are prepared. It allows studying remotely and successfully master the educational program. Individual curriculums are prepared by the educational department of your institute.
7. For all study groups in the institutes, curators on educational and organizational issues have been appointed. Their contacts you can get at the educational department of your institute.
8. After arrival in Russia, all foreign students should be quarantined during two weeks at their place of residence. During the quarantine, students study remotely.
9. After arrival in Russia, you must apply to the Faculty of Foreign Students to obtain a temporary pass and form a personal file. Have a full package of necessary original documents with you.
10. For all students, additional consultations on the main disciplines are organized remotely or on the MEPhI territory according to the schedule. Contact the teacher or the curator of the course (group) to discuss your questions and difficulties.
11. To implement the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor, in order to avoid crowding of people on the university territory, it is recommended to visit the university strictly according to the class or consultation’s schedule. Staying on the university territory (except dormitories) is allowed only in exceptional cases.
12. The entrance to the university territory of the 1st year students is carried out with passes, which are issued by the Faculty of Foreign Students. The passage is carried out after presentation of the passport and the pass to the security officer, who carries out identification and thermometric control. For thermometry, you need to look into the camera for 5 second, while wearing a mask. Information about the successful conduct of thermometric control will appear on the display. The access to the university territory without a mask will be blocked by automatic controls.
13. Exit is also carried out after passing the thermometry wearing a mask.
14.  It is necessary to wear a mask throughout the entire period of stay at the university territory. It is recommended to change masks at least every three hours. If necessary, masks can be obtained at the entrance to the university. When you entering the university buildings, you must treat your hands with a skin antiseptic. Sanitizers with antiseptic are located at the entrance and in the university buildings. If you don't wear a mask it is considered as disciplinary offense. In case of  disciplinary offense, disciplinary measures have to be applied to students, up to expulsion from the university.
15. It is necessary to observe social distance at university territory and dormitories. Each university classroom has a sanitary passport, which indicates how many people can be there. It is necessary not to allow the presence of more number of people in classroom than indicated in the sanitary passport.
16. Events are allowed only in a remote format. Full-time mass events are canceled until the epidemiological situation improves.
17. All organizational activities will take place according to schedules. These activities include: issuing permanent passes, educational literature, the original document on education; obtaining consultations of teachers, etc.
