Russian society "Znanie" in association with MEPhI to teach digital economy

The Russian society "Znanie" (Knowledge) and the scientific and educational center "MEPhI Correspondence school" are opening the educational project "ABC of digital economy".

This is a series of free webinars, where students will get an idea of the concept "digital economy" and technologies used in this field – artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, cloud computing.

"At our webinars, we will talk about how the industrial Internet of things gives real economic growth, organizes production processes in a more efficient way, about the use of cloud services," said the Chairman of the Russian society "Znanie", Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on education and science, he Head of the MEPhI Department of pedagogy and methods of natural science education Liubov Dukhanina.

The expert enumerated the reasons why the Russian public education organization started to develop the project.

According to her, a number of documents (concepts, road maps) contains the sign of equality between automation, digital literacy and the digital economy, which is inaccurate. "These processes are only preliminary steps to create a digital economy," she said.

The project is designed for employees of municipalities, ministries and departments responsible for the development of digitalization, education, labor market, for employees of project offices for the implementation of the program "Digital economy of the Russian Federation".

Teachers of schools, colleges and universities are also invited to participate in webinars to improve their skills, expand the content of educational programs. The organizers invite students of all levels of education for career guidance, unemployed citizens, specialists of obsolete and automated professions to join the project.
